My name is Martha Burling
MBACP Registered Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor
If you are considering
counselling, I am a professional friend you can walk with on
this journey. I understand how hard it can be, revealing your
challenges to family and friends, let alone someone you hardly know.
However, that is where Counselling makes a huge difference - you are assured of confidentiality , providing you a safe place to express your innermost
feelings and be heard without being judged .
I
am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor with Diploma Level 4, insured, registered and
regulated by the counselling body; British Association for
Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Membership Number: 880521. I follow BACP ethical code of conduct and regularly receive
upgrade training and professional Supervision. Through Counselling, I walk alongside
you, taking steps understanding your feelings with empathy, using skills of
listening and offering empowerment.
I
have many years of experience in various psychological support roles including :
working with mental health issues and vulnerable adults, through work I did with Herts
Mind Network , for over three years .
Bereavement and emotional well-being support through Peace
Hospice Watford, where I worked Voluntarily between (2014-2016).
I also work with Signpost , supporting Young People in various issues, including Mental Health.
I have received adequate training with Trauma
and domestic abuse challenges, breaking isolation, fear, guilt and
shame.
In addition, I worked as Trainee Counsellor with CGL Hatfield, offering Counselling to clients facing challenges in drugs and
alcohol addiction for two years.
The
knowledge and experience I have in these specialised areas, allows me
working flexibly with various challenging issues, in a safe
environment with empathy, patience, kindness and acceptance of one
another as we are.
